Beautiful photo greetings with creative apps for smartphones
With the new smartphone apps, everyone is now becoming a graphic designer: Creative lettering turns cell phone photos into artfully decorated, digital maps.
Letters can do much more than just form words: they are original design elements that - depending on the font - look like a decorative ornament. Thanks to new image editing apps, we now beautify our mobile photos with cool lettering.
The app newcomers come up trumps with countless typography variants: from frills-handwritten over Oldschool typewriter writing to fat letters in the 90's look, one can rediscover the alphabet literally again. Accompanied by curved banners, funny symbols and loud speech bubbles, typical holiday snapshots (coconut trees from below, huge spaghetti ice cream, crispy-browned "hot-dog legs") turn into little creative works of art.
They are perfect for creating digital party invitations or birthday cards. By the way, you can then send it directly from the various photo editing apps via email or share it with your friends on Instagram or Facebook.
But it can take a while until it's done. It is incredibly fun to let off steam with the many filters, colors and shapes, to try out new variants again and again - and to feel like a real graphic designer.
