: Sandals, flip-flops or completely without - we constantly have to show our feet in warm temperatures. And that is not so easy for many women. Cracked, dry calluses on the verses or unkempt toenails are really no eye-catcher.

In the Hamburg beauty salon Adam and Eve we have tried a completely new scrub for the feet . Callus actually means only cornea. Callus peeling, of course, sounds a little fancier and more effective. Only so much: We were promised baby-soft feet. What we got, you read below.

This is how callus treatment works

The exfoliation is based on fruit acid, which is supposed to dissolve calluses and strong calluses within 15 minutes, making them ready for ablation. Then the dissolved cornea can easily be removed. Scratching and cutting off the cornea become superfluous.

Step 1

In the first step, damp cloths soaked in fruit acid are put on their feet. These ensure that the cornea is well moistened. The cloths do not feel uncomfortable and have a slightly cooling effect.

step 2

In the second step, the feet are wrapped in foil so that the solution can take full effect. Funny: The fruit acid begins to form bubbles. It gushes a little on the skin. You can feel it and you can hear it too. But that too is not unpleasant.

step 3

In the third step, the cornea is simply pulled off and after a bit rubbed off. In addition, the skin is still creamed. And indeed: it works! My feet feel very tender and soft after the treatment.

Although the effect of Calluspeeling does not necessarily last longer than a conventional pedicure. After about five days, the feet start to harden again. However, long soaking and unpleasant scrubbing away. That makes the pedicure much more pleasant.

By the way, the callus peeling should not be used at home. The Swiss manufacturer also warns against it. The fruit acid belongs in the hands of a professional. Meanwhile, the peeling is not only offered by Adam and Eve, but in many beauty salons.

Cost point: With Adam and Eve the Calluspeeling costs including pedicure with paint around 50 €. The prices however vary from studio to studio.
