  • Curtain rod with attachment
  • Screw hacks, dowels and screws for the wall
  • Cordless screwdriver with drill and screw attachment

Instructions for a roller blind for a window measuring 1.20 m wide and 1.60 m high. For different dimensions, please adjust quantity and length specifications!

And that's how easy it is:

1. Measure the fabric according to the window dimensions, add seam allowance for the sides, add approx. 40 cm in length and cut to length.

2. Fringe the fabric edges on the sides right and left.

3. Sew a tunnel at the top and bottom of the fabric. For this place at the upper edge of the tunnel according to the thickness of the existing curtain rod and leave at the bottom of the tunnel 3 cm diameter space, so that the wooden strip loosely fits.

4. For the further tunnels, analogous to the one at the bottom, measure the fabric into four equal sections and mark with pins. Place a fold of 3 cm diameter in each case, stake out and sew.

5. Place eyelets in the tunnels for the pull-up construction. For this, cut into the tunnel about 25 cm from the edge with the Bastell scalpel. Place the cut 0.5 cm from the seam of the tunnel so that the wood-iron next to it fits into it. Push one eyelet with the creator through both layers of the tunnel and put the eyelet ring on it. If the eyelet does not fit through the hole, use a small pair of scissors to cut the hole larger if necessary.

6. Press the eyelets with the pliers. Put in each tunnel, except the colonels, two eyelets each. Always with 25 cm distance from the edge. Push the wooden strips into the tunnels.

7. Thread one string each on the right and left into the vertically overlapping eyelets. Thread the string through the bottom tunnel so that the end looks out on the front of the shade. There put a thick knot. (If present, a decorative wooden bead may be placed there instead of a knot.)

8. At the top of the roller blind, in the uppermost tunnel with a pair of scissors carefully cut the seam of the tunnel at the point of about 2 cm, where at the other tunnels the eyelets sit, so 25cm from the edge. Put the eyelets here so that they only go through a fabric layer that is on the back of the roller blind. Thread the string through the slit in the tunnel around the curtain rod and thread it out through the loop.

In addition to the steps for the suspension and locking of the roller blind:

1. Lay down the blind spread out. Decide on a page (eg right) where you want to raise the roller blind. Lead the string from the opposite (left) side along the curtain rod to the (right) side where you want to raise the shade. There, the string of the opposite (left) side of the pull-up (right) side at the point where the (right) pull-up cord comes out of the eyelet at the top of the curtain rod under light tension, but without the roller blind gathers, tie down. Now you can pull the roller blind evenly by pulling on both strings at the side.

2. Mount the curtain rod above the window according to the manufacturer's instructions.

3. To lock the blind, place a hook at hand height on the wall near the window where the cord can be tied. Drill a hole, insert the dowel and turn the chop.
