Sixty years full of tears, happiness and love. Schlager singer Vicky Leandros celebrated her birthday last week. In 60 years you experience a lot. Today the artist, who landed one of her greatest hits with "Theo, we're going to Lodz", takes stock.
There are things that will probably occupy Vicky for a lifetime, perhaps even burden. For example, the bitter separation of her husband Enno from Ruffin (58) in 2005. After all the time full of love suddenly everything was over. The singer had thought this idyll would last forever.
But she left the common home on Gut Basthorst in Schleswig-Holstein. The marriage had failed, there were many bad words. What remained Vicky were the two common daughters Milana (now 27) and Sandra (25) and her son Leo (32) from his first marriage.
Looking back, Vicky Leandros now says in an interview with Bild: "I should have struggled even more for my marriage . To preserve the family is something very valuable ". Then she adds: "The first year was very painful. After 19 years of marriage, I was sad and alone. When I left Gut Basthorst, I left a happy life behind. But I had my children, who supported me a lot. "
The children - they are their one and only. As for her son, there is another big wound in the Greek woman's life. Leo was abducted as a little boy by his own father! Vicky's ex-husband Ivan Zissiadis hid the then four-year-old child in Greece when the relationship failed.
For Vicky followed the worst weeks of her life. She filed a complaint. This man could not just take her sweetheart! The Schlager singer recalls: "There were very scary moments.
