You need this for the rabbit bookmark:
Garnstudios DROPS ALPACA
- 50 gr. Fb. No. 0100, natural
- 50 gr. Fb. No. 3140, light pink
- a bit black for the eyes
- Cotton for head, feet and hands
- DROPS CROCHET NEEDLE No. 2, 5 - stitch: 28 dia x 38 d. = 10 x 10 cm
And this is how it's done:
CROCHET TIP:
Each round is begun with 1 ch and finished with 1 sl st in the round. Each row is rotated with 1 ch.
BOOK MARKS:
First, crochet your head. Then the body and finally the legs, arms and ears. The whole work is crocheted with needle No. 2, 5, and 1 thread.
HEAD:
Crochet 4 ch with natural and make a ring with 1 sl st.
1st row: 8 dc in the lm ring - SEE CROCHET TIP!
2nd round: 2 sc in each dc = 16 dc.
3rd round: * 1 sc in the first sc, 2 sc in the next sc *, repeat from * - * = 24 sc.
4th round: * 1 dc in each of the 2 first dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from * - * = 32 dc.
Continue 8R each with 1 sc in each dc. Is the stitch sample correct?
ROUND 13: * 3 dc, skip 1 dc *, repeat from * - * = 24 dc.
ROUND 14: * skip 2 fM1 dc *, repeat from * - * = 16 dc.
ROUND 15: * 1 dc, skip 1 dc *, repeat from * - * = 8 dc.
Fill the head with cotton and then sew the head together (4 dc through both layers). Do not cut the thread but continue with the body.
BODY:
Now crochet back and forth. Variety 2 R. nature and 2 R. pink. Continue 1 sc in each sc. However, crochet on every other row on both sides in the outermost dc from 2 dc to 16 dc. 20 r. With 1 dc in each dc. Continue to dec 1 dc on each side on every other row. until 10 fM are left. Cut off the pink thread and continue with nature.
LEG:
Work 1 dc in the first 4 dc in the same pattern, work 1 dc in the round, and crochet 1 dc in every dc until the work measures approx. 10 cm. Cut the thread. Repeat on the other side.
FOOT:
Crochet 4 ch with black and knit with 1 sl st in a ring.
1st round: 6 dc round the Lm-ring
2nd round: 2 sc in each dc = 12 dc.
Measure 1 dc in each dc until work is approx. 3.5 cm. Fill with cotton wool, lay it twice and crochet dc through both layers (= heel). Crochet a second foot and sew on the feet at the bottom of the leg.
POOR:
Crochet 4 dc with natural on top of one side of the body, crochet 4 dc on the back side = = total 8 dc. Crochet 1 dc in each dc until the arm measures 5 cm. Cut the thread.
HANDS:
Change to light pink. 1 row with 2 dc in every dc = 16 dc. Continue 3 rounds with 1 dc in every dc. Afterwards, crochet 2 dc continuously. Cut the thread and fill the hand with cotton wool. Pull the thread through the last row and tighten. Repeat on the other side.
EARS:
Crochet 5 ch with natural and make a ring with 1 sl st.
1st round: 6 dc round the Lm-ring.
2nd round: 1 dc in each of the first 2 dc, 2 dc in the next, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc and 2 dc in the last dc = 8 dc.
3rd round: 1 dc in each of the 3 first dc, 2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in each of the 3 dc sts, and 2 dc in the final dc = 10 dc.
Continue with 1 dc in every dc until the work measures approx. 5 cm. Continue to knit together 2 dc = 5 dc. Cut the thread and pull through the last R. To contract the work. Repeat on the other side.
FACE:
The eyes, the mouth and the whiskers with black and the nose with pink embroider. Embroider a pink line at the bottom of the ear.
SCARF:
Crochet 4 chs with light pink and crochet 1 dc in last 3 ch. Work 1 ch and work 1 dc in every dc until piece measures 20 cm. Cut the thread and put the scarf around the neck of the rabbit. The work dampens the legs and the body becomes flat.
