Remove splinters with tweezers and olive oil
Whether the man renovating, you even when transplanting or the children playing: A splinter can quickly get under your skin. There is a simple home remedy for all types of splinters: olive oil.
If the splinter is so deep that you can not grasp it with a pair of tweezers, you drip a little olive oil on the spot and let the oil work for about ten minutes. The oil pushes the splitter out easily by itself, so you can easily grasp the splinter end.
PS: This works also for cat and dog paws! ;-)
