This pillow has a bird

You no longer need to buy pillowcases, you can easily sew them yourself. Here comes a creative DIY idea to imitate.

You need this for the cushion cover:

  • Computer and inkjet printer
  • white cotton fabric
  • Transfer film for textiles
  • baking paper
  • fiberfill
  • scissors
  • Iron
  • pins
  • Sewing machine and color matching yarn

And that's how easy it is:

1. The desired motifs, z. B. a bird on the computer to the desired size.

2. Print the motif on transfer foil in DIN A4. If the motif is larger, print the motif on 2 DIN A4 pages.

3. Cut out the motif with a square edge. Place the picture on the right side of the fabric, face down. Place the baking paper on the transfer film and iron the motif onto the fabric with the iron (observe the manufacturer's instructions).

4. If the motif consists of 2 DIN A4 foils, place the second side in shock on the already ironed motif and iron as the first page.

5. Mark and cut out the motif about 4 cm from the edge. Lay right on right on another piece of fabric and cut out this.

6. Sew the cushion together with 1 cm seam allowance, leaving open on one side about 10 cm for turning.

7. Turn the pillow over and fill with cotton wool. Sew up the opening with your hand.
