Nazi scandal: Zara shocked with children's shirt in concentration camp optics

Unfortunately does not look like Wild West: This children's shirt was available until a few hours ago at Zara.

Scandal sweater has since been taken out of the market

What was going on there? In Zara's online shop, until a few hours ago, it was still possible to buy a shirt with such a taste-free design that the Shitstorm was not long in coming.

Design, production and finally delivery to the Zara stores - all these steps must have gone through the striped children's shirt with the yellow star on the chest, before a customer saw it. At none of these stations did any Zara employee notice the ghastly resemblance to prisoner clothing worn in concentration camps during the National Socialist era.

Actually, the KZ shirt should look rather innocent: On the star on the chest is written in transparent (and therefore barely visible) font "Sheriff" - rather a Wilder-West reference so, as a reference to the concentration camp clothing. At least Zara comments on Twitter, as angry customers draw attention to the design super-GAU : "We apologize for the fact that the T-shirt was inspired by western films and is no longer available in stores".

Sadly, this is not the first incident that Zara has made with a few politically correct designs : as early as 2007, a bag was retired that was decorated with swastikas. Also Zara shirts with the statement "White is the new Black" caused a stir. We wonder what else has to happen before the Spanish label better controls its own designs ...
