Roman Polanski will remain in Switzerland until further notice. The star director is under house arrest there because he was arrested in September. Almost thirty years ago, the now 76-year-old had sex with a 13-year-old. He expected a small prison sentence in 1977. However, this was changed so that Polanski fled the US. He stayed in Paris, which saved him from being extradited. Also in the near future he will not be delivered to the USA. There he was originally supposed to receive his verdict. Now, however, it should first be decided whether the process can take place without him. Should Switzerland decide to extradite it, Polanski can challenge it.
