Celebrated like a "real" king

He no longer has a kingdom, a palace, or a scepter, yet Constantine of Greece regards all the royals of this world as one who still belongs to them. "One becomes king by the grace of God, one can not take one", that is what the monarchs say. Therefore, Constantine of Greece in his London exile was now celebrated on his 70th birthday as if he would still wear the crown of Greece. That the ex-king (he was chased out of the country in 1967) has kept his place in royal circles, of course the fact that he is closely related to many of Europe's majesties: Queen Elizabeth of Britain is a cousin, Queen Sofia of Spain his sister, Queen Margrethe of Denmark, the sister-in-law of Constantine of Greece! That connects. They all came to Constantine's birthday party and were greeted with kisses by the "birthday child" and his wife, the Danish princess Anne-Marie. But not only she, but many more: Princess Anne and Prince Andrew from the Windsor clan, Crown Prince Felipe of Spain, Prince Richard and Princess Benedict of Sayn-Wittgestein-Berleburg.

All well-wishers wished Konstantin of Greece health first and foremost . Luckily he recovered that. Last year it was not so good for him, because he had to undergo a heart surgery.
