Plus Size Model makes it onto the cover of the "People" magazine
Tess Holliday is 1.65 meters tall and weighs a whopping 117 pounds. And right now, it turns the fashion world on its head. Because the lifeline star has now made it as the first plus size model with size 52 on the cover of the "People" magazine.
Tess Holiday is a sensation! Dents on the legs, more than just strong arms and bulging hips - the American girl is far away from the typical model dimensions. Nevertheless, she has achieved something extraordinary: As the first model in dress size 52, she has landed a contract of the renowned model agency Milk Management ashore.
With a height of 1.65 meters Tess is not only much smaller than her colleagues, but with 117 kilos and dress size 52 also much rounder than other Plus Size Models. With her extraordinary dimensions she is the smallest and heaviest woman ever to be accepted into a successful agency.
With dress size 52 to success!
For her success Tess Holliday had to work very hard and take a lot of money. The model grew up in a small town in Mississippi and was teased early on for her extreme overweight . Then she threw the school at age 17 and focused on her big dream to become a plus size model.
The first auditions were anything but rosy. But even as she was repeatedly denied during her figure, Tess was not dissuaded from her path. Her big breakthrough as a model came in 2011 in the documentary series "Heavy", in which fat people are accompanied by weight loss.
And the success continues: Tess has already appeared in the Italian "Vogue" and is booked for various beauty and fashion campaigns. Now she even graces the cover of the "People" magazine and sets a clear signal. Her motto: "I am sexy, self-confident and do not let anything stop me. And anyone who says otherwise can do it! "
Thick, but not healthy?
Again and again, Tess is strongly criticized by her critics. In interviews, however, the mother of two emphasizes again and again that she does not want to encourage anyone to get fat or live unhealthily. Because she herself is very healthy and regularly exercise with a personal trainer.
With her #EffYourBeautyStandards movement, Tess, who likes to wear fashionable clothes and also dresses in lingerie, now wants to encourage other women to accept her curves as well. She says about herself, "I'm fat, but I'm beautiful."
So much self-confidence deserves true respect!
