Now it's getting green

Colorful and individual deco for the oasis of well-being: With these three DIY ideas, your balcony will look great this summer!

You need this for the suspension:

  • Japanese azalea
  • Hydrangea or Bellis or Lithodora, (behind Campanula)
  • Pots (eg Socker, Ikea, 0, 79 €, ca. 10, 5 cm)
  • Decorative butterflies
  • 2 wooden boards about 25 x 25 cm, about 1 cm thick
  • Lacquer in two colors + paint roller
  • Drill about 8 mm
  • jigsaw
  • Paketband
  • Wall hooks (possibly dowels)
  • pencil
  • ruler

And that's how easy it is:

1. Mark at a distance of approx. 2 cm to the outer edge in each corner where drilling is to take place.

2. Mark the circumference of the saucer by putting it on and drawing around it. Drill a hole on the drawn line to be able to saw out the circle with the jigsaw (Attention, saw something inside the drawn line, so that the planter does not slip later.

3. Remove the wood from the sawdust and paint in the desired colors and allow to dry.

4. Cut 4 x approx. Cm long strips, thread them through the holes and make a knot at the same distance under the boards.

5. If necessary, attach a hook with a dowel depending on the condition of the wall. Put the straps together so that everything is hanging straight, make a knot and hang it up.

6. Plant the planters and place in the holes.

You need this for the herbal basket:

  • sage
  • thyme
  • rosemary
  • moss
  • Wooden planting plug (garden center)
  • acrylic paint
  • brush
  • masking tape
  • pen

And that's how easy it is:

1. Mask off a surface on the pegs and brush.

2. Label after drying.

3. Lay out the container with moss and plant in the herbs and water.
