These lemon candles must not be missing on your summer table, because they look particularly delicious and also effectively protect against mosquitoes!
This is what you need for the lemon candles:
- Casting wax for candles (500 g, Art. No .: 35 038 05, 6, 79 €, www.idee-shop.com)
- skewers
- 3 lemons
- Citronella oil (health food store)
- Plastic container and saucepan for the water bath
- Candle wick (craft shop)
- knife
- spoon
- scissors
And that's how easy it is:
1. Melt the wax in a plastic container in a water bath (about 60¡) and add citronella oil. Do not boil water. Stir now and then with the shish kebab.
2. Halve the lemons lengthways and carefully remove the flesh with a spoon.
3. Fill the melted wax into the lemon halves.
4. Cut the wick to length and stick it in the wax.
5. Allow wax to cool.
