Belgian doctors are currently discussing whether granting the young girl's euthanasia is legal. Laura is perfectly healthy except for her suicidal thoughts. However, euthanasia is only permitted by law if "he / she is in a medically hopeless situation that is enduring, unbearable physical or mental suffering caused by an accident or a serious and incurable disease and not alleviated can be."
Laura had a tough youth. Her father was a violent alcoholic, writes the Belgian daily DeMorgen. She was not wanted, so the girl.
