Wonderfully autumnal
Decorate pumpkins with beautiful motifs - whether indoors or outdoors - they bring autumn to your home.
You need this:
- 1 large pumpkin (eg "Jack O Lantern")
- Linocut tool (eg from Boesner)
- Creative template (eg outline of a candlestick)
- Tealights or candles in the glass
- big kitchen knife
- Spoon with sharp edges
- scissors
- sharp pencil
It's that easy:
1. Cut the pumpkin top with a big knife.
2. Remove the pulp with the spoon.
3. Continue to scrape out the pumpkin with a spoon, leaving a thin outer wall.
4. Cut out the template / template for the candlestick motif.
5. Use a sharp pencil to transfer the motif to the pumpkin.
6. Using the linocut tool, carve the motif without perforating the bowl until only a thin layer of pumpkin remains.
7. Place candles in the center of the pumpkin and make them shine.
