Our favorite partner on the couch? Of course, a hot water bottle! Here we hid it in a self-made envelope. The instructions can be found below in the text.
That's what you need:
- Rowan "pure wool superwash dk"
150 g in Snow Fb 012
50 g in Flint Fb 105
50 g in Aqua Fb 116 - Circular Needles No. 3, 5 and 4
- 3 buttons
That's how it works:
GAUGE
With needle size 4 at right smooth correspond to 22 stitches and
30 rows 10 x 10 cm
MANUAL
FRONT
35 M with Nd No. 4 and Fb A then start with a right-hander and smooth on the right. 1 R str, end with a Hinr.
Inc 1 st on both sides for 1 st = 51 sts.
Another 42 R str, end with a Hinr.
Next row (back): 8 sts left, (1 st in, 7 sts left) 5 sts, 1 st in, 8 sts left = 57 sts.
Start with R 1 of the count pattern and continue the 19 sts of the pattern repeat smoothly right in Norwegian technique, ending with a Hinr.
Cut off the threads of the spot colors and continue with Fb A only.
Next row (back): 7 sts left, (2 sts left side, 6 sts left) 5 sts, 2 sts left side, 8 sts left = 51 sts.
Start with a right and straighten 5 rows right, end with a front row.
*** Slip 1 st on each side for the next 5 rows, finish with a count = 41 sts.
Cast off 3 sts at the beginning of the next 6 rows and finish with a back. Bind off the remaining 23 sts.
LOWER BACK
Just the same as the front, given to **.
Continue 41 R on the right, ending with a back.
Change to the Nd No. 3, 5. Next R (front): 3 sts left, * 3 sts right, 3 sts left, from * wdh to the end. Next R: 3 sts to the right, * 3 sts left, 3 sts right, from * wdh to the end.
The two R form the rib pattern, another 6 R in the pattern str, end with a Rückr.
Bind off all sts in the pattern.
TOP BACK
Cast on 51 sts with size 3.5 mm.
4 R in the rib pattern, as well as indicated on the lower back, end with a Rückr.
R 5 (Hinr): 6 sts in pattern, (2 sts left side, 1 st, 16 sts in pattern), 2 sts, 2 sts left, 1 st, 7 sts in pattern.
Another 3 R in the pattern str, end with a back.
Change to Nd No. 4. Start with a right and continue straight on to the right.
19 R str, end with a Hinr.
The upper back side continues as shown on the front side from ***.
COMPLETION
Put all parts on a soft surface, cover with a damp cloth and let dry. Close the back and front of the upper left-hand bend.
For the upper cuff, pick up 23 sts from the right side with Nd Nos. 3.5 and Fbe A and knit right, then pick up 23 sts from the top edge and knit right = 46 sts.
R 1 (back): 2 sts right, * 2 sts left, 2 sts right, from * wdh to the end.
R 2: 2 sts left, * 2 sts right, 2 sts left, from * wdh to the end.
The two R form the rib pattern and are repeated continuously up to a cuff height of 8 cm. Change to needle no. 4 and continue in pattern str to a cuff height of 16 cm, end with a spine. Bind off all sts in the pattern
Lay the upper back on the lower back, the two cuffs are on each other. Sew the back and front sides together at the outer edges, the binding edge of the upper cuff stays open. Sew up the top cuff at the top 9 cm from the opposite side because it is folded outwards. Sew on the buttons.
