Dolce & Gabbana send pregnant & babies to the catwalk

Who is pregnant, has nothing nice to wear? And with toddler clothing is only practical? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! Dolce & Gabbana celebrate with their new collection the beauty of all mothers.

Mother's Day is only in May, but the designer duo Stefano and Domenico of Dolce & Gabbana already honor the most important woman in our lives. Our previous highlight of Milan Fashion Week: a catwalk full of mothers, models with babies on their arms and the pregnant Bianca Balti, all of whom presented the new collection of the Italian traditional label.

The look of the collection? Typical, and as always great. Lots of lace and silk, floral elements, brocade fabrics, dresses that flatter the female figure and emphasize the curves, jewelry elements, small crowns and hair and - as an ode to all mothers - children's drawings and declarations of love to all mums, which were found in prints and embroidery, And if it was not clear enough, the show's soundtrack was "Mom" by the Spice Girls. The designers, who put whole families in front of the camera for their "La Famiglia" campaigns, and who are constantly quoting their Italian home again and again, show with their new collection a homage that seems almost overdue: a homage to Mama! After all, they say: No one loves his mother as intimately as Italian men.

It's clear that the staging of the fashion show also includes critical voices: babies and toddlers, who are presented on the catwalk like accessories - is that allowed? We think: Dolce & Gabbana have also lovingly realized their new collection in an eclectically authentic and Italian way; the dresses, as always, are sensual, very delicate, romantic and suitable for every generation of women. The accompanying show simply emphasizes the theme of the "Viva la Mamma" collection . No more and no less.
