Sew colorful mice yourself: The cute stuffed animals are the ideal remnants of our old materials and craft items.
You can never have enough of the cute rodents. Even beginners can easily put the little mice together from fabric scraps, felt for the ears and sequins for the eyes. The tails are made of braided woolen threads.
That's what you need:
- cut out template
- Fabric piece of approx. 15 x 15 cm
- white and black sewing thread
- fiberfill
- small felt piece
- 3 wool threads about 20 cm long
- 2 black sequins
- pencil
- fabric scissors
- pins
- sewing machine
- sewing needle
How to do it:
- Draw the template parts for the bottom and the sides with a pencil on the left side of the fabric.
- Page template turned left a second time to draw on the fabric.
- Cut out the recorded parts with the cloth scissors.
- Join side panels right to right at the round edge. Just leave side open.
- Sew together the stitched side.
- Insert the lower part with pins on the sewn-together side panels. All right sides must be inside.
- Sew parts together at the inserted edges. Leave a 3 cm wide opening at the back to turn the fabric.
- Turn fabric over and stuff with cotton wool.
- Close opening with needle and thread.
- Draw the ear template twice on the felt and cut it out.
- Fold the ear pieces on the straight side to one ear and sew them to the mouse.
- Sew on sequins with black yarn as eyes.
- Join the wool threads with a knot at one end and braid. Finish with another knot.
- Sew tail with needle and thread to the back part of the mouse.
