Australian researchers have found out! We reveal which circumstances can actually extend sleep time by how many minutes.

This is what Australian researchers discovered in April 2013. As part of the investigation, Australian scientists surveyed 1, 000 men and women about their sleep the day before, Dailytelegraph.com reports. The duration and quality of the sleep as well as possible influencing factors were noted: room temperature, mood, influence of alcohol and evening activities.

The researchers discovered: Together it sleeps better! If you share the bed with a partner, you can gain about 20 minutes of sleep every night - but only if your sweetheart is sleeping soundly and not snoring! Snoring sounds can shorten our sleep by 14 minutes. The most important influencing factors on our sleep duration are revealed in the gallery.
