Trolley with curtains

  • 1 serving trolley "Bekväm" (eg

      from IKEA, 39.- €)
    • Lacquer in white and orange (eg 2-in-1 lacquer from Alpina, DIY store)
    • Brush or fine-pored paint roller (hardware store, approx. From 1.50 €)
    • Fabric in orange-pink plaid (fabric department, approx. 12.- € / m)
    • 2.4 m lead band (haberdashery approx. € 3 / m)
    • about 40 small curtain hooks (eg "Dignitet" from IKEA,
    • 24 pcs. 2, 80 €)
    • 2 simple cornices (eg from IKEA, from € 1.50)
    • small iron saw
    • 8 white screw hooks in matching size
    • pins
    • scissors
    • Sewing machine and color matching yarn

    1. Paint the legs of the trolley with the varnish and let it dry.

    2. Paint the worktop completely in orange and allow to dry.

    3. Screw together trolley according to manufacturer's instructions.

    4. Cut out of the fabric four times 83 x 83 cm and on each side turn a seam allowance of 1.5 cm inwards. Pin with pins.

    5. Iron over the edges and stitch in, at the same time work in the lead band on the lower hem.

    6. Saw 2 x 60 cm and 2 x 48 cm long pieces from the cornices.

    7. Screw in the screw hooks at each of the four corners underneath the worktop and hook in the curtain rods.

    8. Pull the curtain hooks onto the poles and clip on the curtains.
