Rachel Bilson's red carpet dresses are here!

It is the look of a person who has already experienced a lot and understood a lot. After all, Rachel has managed to assert herself after her early series hit "OC, California" in Hollywood, and now celebrates with "Hart of Dixie" a new TV success. Privately, the 31-year-old American has found a partner with colleague Hayden Christensen (32), with whom she soon wants to start a family.

JOY: In your current TV series "Hart of Dixie" (Mondays, 9:00 pm, sixx), you play City Girl Zoe, who has to fight his way through the provinces. They grew up in L. A. Would you have any problems moving to the village?

Rachel Bilson: No, I like the family atmosphere in the country. Everyone is much more honest with each other and in case of emergency they are there for each other. For me, the showbiz is nothing special - since my father is a director, I grew up on movie sets. In 2002, I was fortunate enough to join "OC, California". The success of this series opened completely new doors for me. But the scene life in L.A. is not my case. Of course I know the pubs and the food there is good, but I do not hang out there all the time.

So you do not belong to the stars who leave the house without panties? No, I'm pro underwear (laughs)!

There are people who are addicted to attention. Which does not apply to me, my friends and also not to my dog Thurman Murman (laughs). Nevertheless, you always have to be careful. Once I was at an event wearing a dress. When I got up from my chair, a photographer snapped right between my legs. I had something under it, but it was still bizarre. Paparazzi always try to illuminate every trace of your privacy.

How do you manage the relationship with your equally prominent friend Hayden Christensen?

We try to stay under the radar as much as possible. This includes not hanging our relationship on the big bell. From 2003 to 2006, I dated Adam Brody, my "OC" co-star, and we did it the same way back then.

Would not you sometimes prefer to be with a completely unknown bank employee?

It has its advantages if someone from the industry is your partner. He understands the pressure you are under and that sometimes your schedule is totally crazy. But ultimately, any relationship is complicated enough, no matter with whom.

In 2008, Hayden stopped for your hand. Two years later you broke the engagement, but shortly afterwards you were again a couple. How did that happen?

That's a topic I do not want to miss. I would rather keep some things to myself.

What is the reason why it now works between you again?

You have to communicate well in a relationship with each other. Then she works. But I had to learn that first.

They met Hayden in 2007 shooting "Jumper". Do you remember your first impression of him?

I was totally impressed by him as an actor. And also of his stamina. The shoot took a lot of physical effort, but he never once complained, just done his job. I admire someone like that. Even with the hype around him after the "Star Wars" movies he was extremely relaxed, without ever taking off.

Why did you argue in interviews that you are a couple?

When you play a loving couple in a movie, the press already privately sells you as a new couple before you know it yourself. Anyway, there were already so many rumors about me, which were completely pulled over. Supposedly I went out with Ricky Martin - which is completely absurd. Alone, because I've never met him.

Can you imagine having children with Hayden after six years of relationship?

I want children, definitely. I also think that I will be a loving mother because I am generally good with children. If I had not followed the path of the actress, then today I would be a primary school teacher.

They say you are avoiding the club scene in L.A. How do you spend your evenings?

I already liked going out in my early 20s, meanwhile I have the party phase behind me. Now I prefer to spend my evenings at home in the kitchen. Cooking is my big passion. And it's even more fun when you make a menu for friends or your partner. Hayden and I often cook together. The strange thing is: I feel so old, almost like a grandma. For after breakfast I go to bed early, so change the times!

Is there a favorite dish with you?

No, I usually cook new dishes and experiment a lot. I have never attended any courses. That's why some creations go awfully awry. The kitchen is in absolute chaos. Overall, I'm better at baking - cupcakes and cookies. I also like to eat it myself.

Are you not quite alone with this attitude given the diet craze in Hollywood?

The Hollywood-dominated obsession with how much you weigh and what size you wear, I find totally oblique. Every human being is built differently, and most importantly, you feel comfortable in your own skin - regardless of a kilo.

You do not see your preference for cupcakes and co. Do you have such a healthy metabolism?

Maybe, let's see what that looks like when I get older. Of course, I also do sports regularly. Unhealthy, I find colleagues who run like crazy into the gym to have as little as possible a gram of fat on the body. This lifestyle is not my case. I also sin. For example, I have a weakness for spicy potato chips.

What sport do you like to do?

First of all, I go for a walk every day with my mongrel dog and my schedule keeps me constantly busy. I recently shot the movie "The To Do List" and a third season "Hart of Dixie" is currently in the planning stage. Besides, I play tennis and I dance, that's what I love most.

You can carry everything with your figure. What criteria do you use to choose your clothes?

Sometimes a good friend does that for me when I do not have time myself. But in principle it is easy for me to put together an outfit. As a small child, I already had a knack for it - much to the chagrin of my mother, because I never let myself be talked into. Often I mix different styles and colors, I also like layered look. It is important to me that the outfit is also comfortable. Anyway, I have a weakness for cozy clothes - at home I often walk around in pajamas.

What is your favorite garment?

I am obsessed with shoes! That's why I designed my own collection for Shoemint. Marni is also a label that I love. The pumps have very high heels, but I have no problem running.

How many pairs of shoes do you own?

I have never counted them. But there are so many! I also like to pick up shoes, which does not make you look good. I even still have some from my school years - partly for nostalgic reasons, but also because, according to experience, every trend comes back into fashion someday.

Do you have a favorite accessory?

Oh yes, a wallet from Chanel! My aunt told me the history of the label. I'm fascinated by the fact that a small seamstress in 1909 laid the foundation for a billion-dollar empire. From my aunt I also learned very simple but effective beauty tips.

That would be?

Make-up every evening, use moisturizers for the lips, always wear sunscreen. And maybe the most important thing: smile!

And do you often do that?

You can bet on that, I'm a completely happy person (laughs).
