On her wedding day, this bride fulfills a great wish

Everything said that she would succeed. But for her wedding day Tami Martin made the impossible possible.

Even those who do not know the tragic and dramatic history, the image seen above certainly not completely untouched. The sheer happiness that the bride Tami Martin and her groom Rob Dietrich radiate quickly conjures a smile on their faces. But until that happy moment, when Rob puts his wedding ring on his Tami's finger, it took some time.

There was a time when everything spoke against Tami Martin ever standing on her own legs beside her husband let alone walking the way to the altar. For over 15 years Tami was paraplegic. The reason: In 1999, the pretty American had a car accident that had serious consequences for her. She broke her back. Her doctors told Tami that she would never walk again. But the ambitious woman did not want to accept that.

Through numerous physiotherapy sessions, Tami tried to regain control of her legs. But then the setback: Tami breaks his leg. In addition, she is gaining weight, which makes it even harder for her to reach her goal of being able to walk again.

But the word "giving up" does not seem to occur in Tami's vocabulary. With the support of her family, her friends and of course her husband Rob Dietrich, Tami is making more and more progress. She loses weight and finally has a weight loss of unbelievable 87 kilograms. And not only that...

On her wedding day, Tami manages to walk the almost 20 meters to the altar on her own legs . Her walker simply hides her under the wide tulle skirt of her fairytale wedding dress. A long-cherished dream finally comes true. Husband Rob is also thrilled.

But Tami has already set a new goal. In an interview with USA TODAY she says: "I would like to be able to walk alone again without any aids." With a strength of will, as this woman possesses, almost everything should be possible.

In the video below you can see all the moving pictures of Tami Martin and Rob Dietrich.
