He never spoke so openly
Most recently, we were all happy with him: Hardy Krüger jr. (44) and wife Katrin (34) became parents of Baby Layla, one and a half years after the death of their young son. His sons Noah (13) and Leon (18) came from his first marriage. About it and why his first marriage broke up, the actor ("Forsthaus Falkenau") now spoke to us in an interview.
Mr. Krüger, many fathers today have too little time for the family. Do you know that?
Hardy Krüger Jr .: Yes, I know that. My first marriage ultimately failed because I worked too much, was too far away, and focused on the supply role. You just want the family to miss nothing. At some point you realize, but you have completely disassembled.
A sad realization ...
Hardy Krüger Jr .: One notices that the family just felt the need to spend time with the dad and husband. Family life suffered a lot back then. This is already a finding that hurts a lot.
And have you learned from your mistakes ?
Hardy Krüger Jr .: Yes. I think you do not want to make that mistake again.
You are a divorce child yourself, have not noticed much from your father. Do you want to give your children what they have missed?
Hardy Krüger Jr .: All of the separation children are traumatized because they blame themselves for not having Dad and Mom together anymore. You have to give them that feeling, otherwise they will grow up with it. And of course they want to do it differently and live what they have missed.
Noah and Leon come from your first marriage - how often do you see them?
Hardy Krüger Jr .: They visit us and know that they can come and stay anytime. Dad is gas station and time out for her and that's important, especially at that age. It all works very well - and we have a lot of fun together.
