Karl Lagefeld likes it ironically again

Karl Lagerfeld repeatedly quotes pop culture phenomena and social issues with his collections. The most striking example: the hair decoration of his Pre-Fall collection 2014, in which he was inspired by Native Americans and was much reprimanded for the camp field.

Nor did he shy away from possible controversy for his Chanel Cruise 2015 collection in Dubai : the models wore quilted bags in the shape of oil cans, in line with the obscure and often critical oil industry. And that in Dubai, one of the world's largest producers of crude oil.

In his fall / winter collection 2014, Karl Lagerfeld played with the themes of consumption and American mass culture. Here he showed bags in the form of milk cartons and the classic Chanel 2.55 wrapped in cling film, much like the packaged meat, which can be found in the supermarket.

The latest tribute in Dubai seems fitting: If there is something whose price is outrageously more expensive than gasoline, then it is probably a handbag from Chanel.
