Simple and effective
There are no limits to your imagination when designing your wall. How about handlettering or oversized scrabble letters? Here come our ideas.
You need this for the picture frame:
- Sheet of paper for the template
- Plexiglas frame (ZaraHome; 19.99 €)
- fine paint-crayon in white
- pencil
And that's how easy it is:
1. Prescribe lettering and leaf motif on a sheet of paper with the dimensions of the picture frame and paint before.
2. Place the Plexiglas frame on the template and write off the lettering with a fine, white paint-brush. Let the paint dry.

That's what you need for the grid:
- Grid (eg length 123 cm, width 61.5 cm, www.amazon.de, 29.80 €)

And that's how easy it is:
1. Fasten the grid to the wall with dowels and screws, depending on the wall condition.
2. Hang cooking utensils and the like with S-hooks and clamps on the grid.

This is what you need for the Scrabble letters:
- Multiplex panel 12 mm thickness (hardware store)
- Sandpaper 120 grit (Hardware store)
- Computer printer printer paper
- Acrylic paint, black (craft shop)
- brush
- scissors
- pencil
- masking tape
- self-adhesive picture hooks (craft shop)
And that's how easy it is:
1. Cut the multiplex panel in the hardware store into 9 equal-sized squares measuring 20 x 20 cm.
2. Break the edges with sandpaper.
3. Print the desired letters / words on the computer.
4. Carefully cut out the letters with the scissors to the template. Place the paper with the cut out letter in the middle of each square and record the letters with the pencil.
5. Mask the outside edges of the recorded letters accurately with the paint crepe and paint the letter with black acrylic paint.
6. Let the paint dry and remove the painter's crepe.
7. For the suspension, glue the picture hook backside, centered on each square.

What you need for this wall design:
- Computer printer printer paper
- Wooden board (about 60 x 80 cm, hardware store)
- Adhesive strips (tesa)
- small nails (hardware store)
- Embroidery thread in 3 shades (each 1.90 €, haberdashery)
- scissors
- hammer
And that's how easy it is:
1. Print the saying in the desired size.
2. Cut the letters, arrange them on the board and fix them with adhesive tape.
3. Hammer in nails along the outer edge of each letter. Remove paper.
4. Wrap each letter with embroidery thread. To fill the letters with yarn, wrap them criss-cross between the nails of the letters. Finally knot the yarn on a nail with double knots and cut.
