Stars go up in smoke

Who sees a cigar, thinks of one thing first of all: pure luxury. One sees smoky rooms in front of him, which are equipped with high-quality, but old-fashioned furniture and suspects between all the cigar smokers sophisticated discussions about art, politics or classical music and literature.

This prejudice of the old, above-educated men sitting in their luxurious fireplace room and eagerly debating, is mainly related to the character of the cigar. This is hardly comparable to a cigarette. Rather, she needs time and rest to live out her full taste and intensity. Through this quiet, deliberate smoking spread the prejudice that cigar smoking is only something for older people who drink to expensive whiskey.

Stars and starlets from Hollywood, however, prove the opposite. Here, too, you can often see the dignified gentlemen pull on a cigar, but even the younger crowd enjoys the taste of the uniquely processed smoldering stems.

The older generation of cigar smokers

Already Alfred Hitchcock knew how calming the enjoyment of a cigar can be. The director, who became known for his films in particular through a unique camera technique, frequently showed himself in public with a stink of misery. But not only special characters like Hitchcock enjoyed a good cigar from time to time. Even politicians like Winston Churchill or the composer Georges Bizet knew about the effect. The latter was so fascinated by the production that he made the beginning of his famous opera "Carmen" in a cigar factory.

As other stars show, smoking a cigar is not only about calmness and balance, but above all a strong masculine behavior. Action stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Ralf Möller prefer cigars mainly because of their strong and intense taste. In the rousing film "Independence Day" the two world-saviors smoke at the end also the "Fat Lady", a cigar that the two male heroes have hard-earned in saving the whole of humanity.

But even the younger generation of stars is more and more on the taste of the cigar. Even Ernesto Che Guevara was an enthusiastic passer-by, and that this is a very special position for many young people, is the most aware. Above all, true young aficionados find themselves, who would have thought, among football players. These are sure that their athletic passion and cigar smoking do not stand in each other's way.

And supposedly, more and more women dare to approach this male domain. Although historians want to prove that even Katharina was the Great Cigar Smoker, she remained part of a very small group for a long time. The fact that women are particularly difficult to get started is mainly due to the fact that smoking was "a thing for the men" right from the beginning, and the thick, robust cigars did not seem to fit the feminine hands of a woman, let alone one Lady, these times are over, and that's why the female genders more and more of the stinking dicks, trying on cigarillos, getting to know the differences between Cuban and Puerto Rican tobaccos, and enjoying a good cigar with the top models from around the world The enjoyment of a cigar is the highlight of the day - whether for old hands in show business or newcomers.
