Twice different: Build a bathroom shelf yourself

Photo: deco & style

It's that easy

Off the rack shelves are not your thing? Then just build your bathroom shelf yourself.

You need this:

  • 3 hooks with matching dowels (hardware store)
  • Tau of appropriate length (http://www.htf-hh.com)
  • Tape / tape
  • drilling machine

That's how it's done:

1. Measure and mark positions for the hooks.

2. Pre-drill holes for the hooks.

3. Turn the hook into the wall with suitable dowels depending on the wall condition.

4. Pull the rope through the hooks. Tape the ends to prevent them from twisting and knotting.

You need this:

  • Holder (wall mounting) for a curtain rod (Ikea piece 1, 50 Euro)
  • Screws and dowels
  • Round wood or metal rod. 4 cm diameter and 2 m length (hardware store)
  • Paint in black
  • Shelves (Ikea "EkbyJärpen" 14.95 Euro)
  • colored clothesline
  • drilling machine
  • brush
  • scissors
  • spirit level

It's that easy:

1. Fasten the holder for the curtain rod with dowels and screws to the wall.

2. Paint a round wood at least 4 cm in diameter and 2 m in length black. Let the paint dry. Alternatively, slide a 2m long black metal bar through the wall mount.

3. Hang the shelves on the pole with a clothes line, align with a spirit level. Tie the clothesline well under the board.
