We celebrate the Advent wreath

Advent is getting closer and closer with giant steps. You do not have an Advent wreath yet? No problem! Here are eight simple DIY ideas.

That's what you need for this Advent wreath:

  • Pillar candles in white
  • candle glasses
  • Plate
  • Loop scarf (eg from H & M 4.99 €)
  • Christmas decorations

And that's how easy it is:

1. Place pillar candles in glasses on a plate and drape the scarf around them.

2. Decorate with Christmas decorations.

1. Fill four bottles with winter finds (nuts, fir, moss).

2. Put candles in the bottleneck. If the bottleneck is too big and you do not hold the candle, put it in a drip guard first.

3. Stamp labels with numbers from 1 to 4 and tie them with a cord around the neck of the bottle.

  • Quartz sand (hardware store)
  • Round cardboard box (craft store, eg of idea about 5 €)

1. Mix concrete by mixing Portland cement and quartz sand in equal proportions and then pouring water until the concrete has a pudding-like consistency.

3. Place four candles as placeholders in the still liquid concrete.

4. Let dry for 2-3 days. Then carefully cut the cardboard mold with a knife or cutter so that the concrete loosens.

5. If necessary, you can use emery paper to finish corners and odd edges.

6. Carefully remove the cast-in candles with a knife and replace with new ones.
