At school, a ten-year-old (!) Girl complained of abdominal pain - then she gave birth to a baby. How could something like this happen?
It's unbelievable, according to the Daily Mail, that happened a few days ago in Belo Horizonte, Brazil: a girl of only ten years had a baby.
The girl is said to have complained of abdominal pain at school. Teachers took her to the hospital where doctors found out that the ten-year-old was seven months pregnant and had severe contractions.
She gave birth to her child the same day and was hospitalized with her two-month-old baby. Both the girl herself and her family claim that they did not know she was pregnant. Since the girl is already relatively small for her age, they did not notice the growing belly.
The little girl confessed to her mother after the birth of the baby that she was being abused by her 40-year-old ex-stepfather. She had not dared to say anything because he had threatened to kill the girl's brother and mother. The mother then immediately notified her ex-boyfriend. She had noticed that her daughter had been worse off at school since October of last year and had turned away, but she did not get any explanation from her child. The girl was too scared.
When the girl's ex-stepfather was questioned by the police, he confessed to the rape. He was arrested for child molestation and unauthorized possession of weapons.
