Mother unknowingly rescues her wonder baby
After the birth, her baby is declared dead. But then his mother does something that she uses to unknowingly save her child!
When Karen Wollmann gets pregnant, the joy of the family is limitless. She has already given birth to two healthy children who are now to have a little sibling. Even before the baby is born, the name is already clear: Renner should be called the new family member.
But an ultrasound examination a short time later brought the family back to the floor with a tragic message. Renner diagnoses Down Syndrome, but that's not the problem. His body is full of water retention, the doctors expect the worst: They prepare Karen that her baby will probably stillbirth. The family is shaken. But they do not want to give up their hope because the baby still lives in the mother's stomach.
In the 35th Week it's done: Renner is brought by Caesarean birth. It is the moment of decision. When the doctors get the baby out of the stomach, it is very quiet. It does not scream. But then they see something incredible: Renner breathes!
Immediately the neonate is treated in the intensive care unit, the mother is deprived of any hope: she can not save the child with the dead body . Renner's body is full of water, his kidneys are too weak.
The doctors give the little one not more than twelve hours, should his kidney function not improve. Karen is upset. She experiences an emotional roller coaster, and after relief that her baby was breathing against all expectations, the next setback follows. The mother has only one wish: to hold her dead child at least once in her arms. That this is the salvation for the little one, she does not suspect.
For four hours the desperate woman lingers with her baby in a rocking chair, holds it tightly in her arms and enjoys every second with him. Karen knows that it can be the first and last time she weighs her third child.
The next time the doctors look for Renner, they can not explain what they are watching. The values of the little ones are constantly improving. The child survives, contrary to all predictions, the night. But not only that: From day to day the miracle baby gets better. The only treatment the child receives in the meantime is weighing in his mother's arms. Unknowingly, she saved her baby with the wish to hold her in her arms.
Such miracles happen again and again in which physical proximity can rescue a baby unexpectedly. The so-called kangaroo method is often used in premature babies, whose values can improve incredibly fast by direct skin contact. A precise explanation for the recovery of the babies through contact with the mother does not yet exist, but the body heat and stimulation of the senses should play a major role in the recovery.
Today, the miracle baby, who was still predicted in the stomach as a stillbirth, is two years old and healthy. His mother saved her child without knowing it at the moment, following her instincts.
