For the Oktoberfest launch in September, Wolfgang Joop has designed a three-part dirndl collection. What the designer was inspired by and what the Oktoberfest outfits look like is shown here.

The dirndl comes from the Oktoberfest - on the catwalk. No junk. Designers devote themselves to the traditional dress and bring out their own hearty collections during the Oktoberfest period. For example, Wolfgang Joop has already designed a costume collection for Galeria Kaufhof in the second Oktoberfest season in succession.

The inspiration for his Oktoberfest outfits 2014 : the naivety, the love of nature and the tradition of late rooko, because this is exactly where the traditional costumes come from. This is how velvet, silk, lace and brocade meet delicate lines and brocade embroidery. "The rural is combined with glamorous, elaborate details, and so we have developed a completely new traditional style, with which every woman at the Oktoberfest can feel comfortable, " says designer Wolfgang Joop.

The result is three different looks: a classic Dirndl outfit in brown with a shell-colored blouse and apron, a bottle-green jacquard dress with a black traditional blouse and ankle-length silk pants with an ornamental pattern to a uni-black blouse.

The outfits are now available exclusively in many stores and online at www.galeria.de.
