Spearheaded in fan-gear with Viking headgear in national colors, the 17-year-old cheered for the Belgians in the quarter-final against Argentina at the stadium in Brazil. For the kicker it did not go on. Belgium left. Axelle, however, landed the big coup.
A photographer spotted the pretty fan and published her photo. That went on Facebook, Twitter and Co. around the world. The cosmetics company L'Oreal discovered the blonde and did not hesitate long.
Although Belgium will no longer be world champion, the 17-year-old has a model contract in her pocket. Also a nice football fairy tale.
