Why the auto-tag feature does not always work
Who would have thought? More and more seniors are enthusiastic not only for Facebook, but also for Hip Hop! Or is that just an oversight?
Since the dear grandma would like their grandsons via Facebok just a little bit closer and leave them from time to time a small post on the wall. But somehow, instead of grandma, the rapper Grandmaster Flash is always hunted down.
Older people from English-speaking countries often struggle with the auto-tag feature on Facebook. If you start by typing in the Grandma or Grandpa, you get other names that are similar to those words. For example, Grandmaster Flash. Anyone who simply presses 'Enter' does not see Grandma or Grandpa appearing under his Facebook post, but the name of the hip hop artist.
Misadventures of this kind are not uncommon. More often, the name Grandmaster Flash has caused a few laughs under a post. For example, if Omi just wants to wish her grandson a happy birthday.
In the meantime, there is even a separate Tumblr blog called Love, Grampa and Grandmaster Flash for these special Facebook posts.
