If the roles were reversed ...

What if we suddenly had to flee our homeland because we are no longer safe in our own country? With this video, Amnesty International gives food for thought.

There are currently about 60 million people on the run worldwide, including 38 million in their own country. Almost 20 million people were forced to leave their own country. 1.8 million people are looking for asylum. Such high numbers have not existed since the Second World War.

A video currently being circulated by Amnesty International is bringing the refugee situation to the fore in a particularly moving way. It shows how it would be if our roles were reversed, what it would be like if people from Germany had to flee their country because of war.

In the video, a boy escapes from Berlin to Africa with his mother because they hope to live in safety there. His father could not accompany her. He does not know where he is now and if he will ever see him again. A fate shared by many refugee families who had to leave family members behind.

The longer you look at the clip of Amnesty International, the faster the thought carousel turns. One can not help but trying to imagine this role reversal scenario . This video is definitely a great way to encourage people around the world to think.
