How well do you know your ears?

Feel-good world

They are open 24 hours a day. That's why the ears need special protection.

When was the last time you thought of your ears? The question may sound strange, but we hardly care about our ears. They deserve it.

Because our hearing is active without a break, even at night. And our environment is loud. With this continuous load the hearing can gradually diminish.

Studies show: Already 6 percent of 40-year-olds in Germany have a hearing loss.

The reasons range from too much earwax to stress to diseases such as diabetes or sudden hearing loss, the "infarction in the ear". But mostly it is noise that damages our hearing. It is important to know: How good are my ears and how can I protect my hearing?

WELL PREVENTED

Avoid noise

If you feel that noise is annoying you, these sounds are often too loud for you. Inconspicuous earplugs (there are mainly at the acoustician) protect - whether in the office, at home, on the road (but not for driving safety). And the earplugs give your hearing the necessary long breaks to regenerate - just wear at night.

Daily ear training

In the inner ear we have fine hair cells. They convert air vibrations (sounds) into nerve signals for the brain. One can train the processing of the heard in the brain (conscious hearing). Listen to about 30 minutes of music every day - quiet, attentive, relaxed. Sit more often on a park bench or somewhere in the nature. Close your eyes, listen carefully. What sounds do you hear? Where are you from?
