Weight Watchers founder Jean Nidetch is dead. She died at the age of 91, according to company director Jim Chambers.

Nidetch had to struggle with her weight for a long time - until she discovered the concept of scoring points. She met with friends, told them about their idea and motivated them to join in. One year later, in 1963, the slim-down woman Weight Watchers International founded - until today one of the most successful diet concepts.
