Especially now in the summer months have many birthday. Why?
Do so many of you and your family have their birthday at the same time? Are you constantly shopping for gifts and accepting invitations? Why is that?
The Germans are known for wanting to plan everything as accurately as possible. But that they manage to plan the birth of their children so well, then surprises something.
Nevertheless, it is striking that a large number of children are born in the summer months, especially in July, August and especially in September.
If one compares the figures of the Federal Statistical Office of the last 25 years, almost always the summer months are the birth-strongest months. And of course that means that we know a lot of people who have their birthday between July, August and September.
It's also nice to have a birthday in summer. You can party outside or go on vacation. You can have nice weather almost every year, you can dress in chic, airy clothes and the sun conjures the guests a good mood.
By the way: this is not a purely German phenomenon. Statistics show that September is the world's highest birth month worldwide. Is it because we are particularly cuddly at Christmas so that the babies come nine months later? One does not know.
What we definitely are not on Christmas is baby friendly. Whatever the women of the world do, the Christmas holidays and the first of January are the rarest birthdays. The days around it are again somewhat fertile, but exactly the holidays are together with the 29th of February (which happens only every four years) the rarest birthdays.
According to statisticians, the most common date of birth is 16 September, at least in the USA . Unfortunately, such exact figures are not available for Germany, but the global figures are said to be very similar.
