Why half a dog needs twice as much love

Half a dog with double courage

Bonsai is only a few months in the world and therefore small. But even compared to other puppies, the English Bulldog is only half as big. In his short life, half the dog had to go through a lot. The experiences cost him one half of his body.

Bonsai is born with numerous malformations down the center of the body. His spine is only halfway formed, the puppy lacks a side of the pelvis. The deformations are reminiscent of the so-called swimmer syndrome, which is rarely diagnosed in cats and dog puppies. However, Bonsai's condition is even more advanced. His hind legs are present, but deformed. They cause the dog significant pain.

In order to give his puppy the best treatment, his owner turns to the aid organization "Friends of Emma". So it happens that Bonsai is a permanent guest at the vet with just three and a half weeks. The treatment helps, but a problem remains. The hind legs are in the way of the puppy, he can neither sit nor stand and seems to have a lot of pain. One thing is certain: the legs are amputated.

Bonsai loses its hind legs, but it gains in quality of life. Half the dog looks happier than ever . Intensive post-treatment should give him the best possible mobility. The video proves: Therapy starts. The puppy is playful and alive like never before . Bonsai is maybe half the size of other dogs, but it needs at least twice as much love!
