Cheers to the new art of brewing
In cool bars tapped again, small breweries and fine flavors make the new beers to trendy enjoyment. And more and more women are joining in as well. In short: beer is booming!
It does not always have to be the measure in the beer tent - beer also goes with a lot of style, delicious varieties and a nice atmosphere . In Paris, casual types tap into life, in Hamburg, women sip cherry beer and in the beer garden of the New York hotel "The Standard" order hipsters from the German drinks menu (see gallery above).
Beer is now more diverse, younger, cooler - and especially popular are the so-called "craft beer". These are lovingly brewed, very special varieties. "The best ingredients and the combination of traditional recipes with creative taste ideas make this division, " said Daniel Hertrich, director of the "Craft Beer Store" in Hamburg ( www.craftbeerstore.de ). There are also the beers from "Crew Republic" from Munich, the "Detox" brew with only 3.4 percent alcohol or the fruity-floral "Drunken Sailor" ( www.crewrepublic.de ).
Nice accompaniment of the new beers: their chic bottles and lavishly designed labels. "Innovative brewers have brought beer out of the dusty tavern", so the beer sommelier Johanna Lankes ( www.blackbeer.de ).
How to find "his beer"? If you feel like drinking another, you're right, "says Lankes. Well then: Cheers - and the old, new in-drink !
