We like this version of the 'Perfect Body' campaign much better ...

Underwear label 'Dear Kate' against stereotypical beauty ideals

A week ago, Victoria's Secret caused a lot of dissatisfaction with an ad that proclaimed a very one-sided ideal of beauty. This answer impressed us.

Ten women can be seen in the Victoria's Secret campaign. Ten women who are damned alike: long legs, long hair, flawless bodies. In bold letters you can read " THE PERFECT 'BODY '" above their bodies. According to Victoria's Secret, this means the bra she wears, not her figure.

However, you have to be blind if you do not see that this advertising can easily be misinterpreted. "The makers of underwear label 'Dear Kate' call this" irresponsible marketing "and have decided to produce their own version of the advertisement - this time for all women.

We like this version a lot better! Here are shown very different women who love their body as it is. Each of them is also a successful entrepreneur - strong women are not just in size 34 .

With the label 'Dear Kate', Victoria's Secret could surely pick up some ideas for the next campaign. Maybe the definition of 'perfect' will be a bit wider for once ...
