His portraits do not only delight art lovers

The Mexican artist Christiam Ramos loves extraordinary art. His latest material: Toothpaste - so you can paint really great pictures.

Toothpaste is there to brush your teeth. Already, but not only. With the minty paste you can also make beautiful paintings . The Mexican artist Christiam Ramos demonstrates it.

A brush, 30 tubes of toothpaste and his fingers - that's all the 34-year-old needs for his pictures. The result is incredible. Ramos paints landscapes and portraits - particularly famous is his toothpaste drawing by actor Robin Williams.

Red Blue. Yellow ... Of course there is not toothpaste in all colors. That's why Ramos works with layers to create all the other sounds he needs. The artist has to work very fast, because toothpaste dries quickly. Either he presses the paste on his forefinger or directly on the canvas. Then he blurs it. In this fascinating video you can watch the artist at work. He needs about 200 hours for a painting. Madness!

Toothpaste is not the first extraordinary material that Christiam Ramos uses to paint his paintings. He is especially known for his celebrity candy paintings! And he can not keep his fingers off nail polish. His portraits were created by Marilyn Monroe and Mona Lisa.
