You sit comfortably on the sofa and exchange Christmas presents. But they did not expect that.
Joe Riquelme, a successful New York app developer, just gives his parents an envelope. He shows no feelings at all, does not make a fool of the thing. As if he were handing the salt at the dining table, he hands the envelope to his mother.
When she opens the envelope, tears come to her. Because she finds a note and a bank receipt. On the note is: "Your house is paid off. Merry Christmas. Joe" Next to it a checklist on which everything is ticked off: "raise children: check; college loan: check; mortgage: check"
