Spanish bullfighter takes daughter to the bullring.
Irresponsible or traditional?
Bullfighting is a high risk affair. Every year, many of the Torreros in Spain, where the cruel bullfighting tradition is a tradition, are injured in the arena - sometimes deadly.
However, this knowledge has not prevented the torero Fran Rivera Ordóñez - known as "Paquirri" - to take his little daughter into the arena. On his Instagram account he posted a photo: in his left arm he holds his daughter, with his right arm he swings the red flag in front of the bull. This is already bleeding ...
He wrote: "Carmen's debut, my daughter belongs to the 5th generation of bullfighters in our family, I'm so proud."

Thousands of people like this photo - but there are even more critical comments. Many people find the behavior of the Toreros extremely irresponsible. A child has nothing to look for in a bullring.
Paquirri commented on the critics' reactions on Twitter: The amount of insults and death threats that currently hit him is impressive. But he does not let that irritate him and instead calls for "respecting our traditions". For his daughter, there was only a minimal danger. "She will never be safer than in my arms."
After all, the case is now being investigated by the Spanish authorities.
