Film review "Breaking Dawn" - Part 1
Romantic wedding, hot honeymoon, and a bloodthirsty vampire baby: In "Breaking Dawn, " Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart must embark on some more adventures as Edward and Bella - and the biggest of these is adulthood. We looked at the vampire spectacle before the theatrical release.

Edward is standing in front of the wedding altar. In her father's hand, Bella walks up to him in a gorgeous wedding dress and finally: the wedding kiss! How long have we been waiting for this big movie moment?

Fortunately, director Bill Condon has not disappointed our expectations. Kristen Stewart looks like Bella in her simple white silk dress with a delicate lace for meltdown. And Robert Pattinson, who waits for his sweetheart as excited Edward - well, we would like to fall into the arms of the sexy vampire in this scene!
The erotic tension between Bella and Edward can be felt with every look and every movement. Surely it did not hurt during the filming that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are also a private couple. It would not have been easy otherwise to play the enormous attraction between Edward and Bella so convincingly!
The big night of love in "Twilight - Breaking Dawn"
In "Twilight - Breaking Dawn" at the end of the night, they are finally allowed to spend a hot night of love after the wedding. However, not too much is shown, even if Edward tears the back wall of the common Himmelbetts out of sheer passion.
It is surprising that during this rather chaste scene Robert Pattinson even planned to leave premiere cinema because he did not want to watch himself having sex. The actor claimed in any case in an interview with the website "Access Hollywood".

Instead, we would rather have left the movie during the rather spooky birth scene where Bella gives birth to her vampire baby. The blood spurts and bubbles everywhere, while Edward desperately tries to keep Bella alive, eaten up by her bloodsucking child from within.
Director Bill Condon explains: "It was very satisfying to mix the classic, big Hollywood melodrama with a cool, intense horror movie." For the director, it was certainly "satisfying" - viewers who can not see blood do it here better short your eyes!

But apart from the horror elements, the movie's biggest theme is growing up. The 18-year-old Bella leaves her parents' house, marries her Edward and suddenly has to stand on her own. Of course, getting her involved in a vampire family and saying good-bye to her own human family does not make things any easier.
"I have always liked stories in which the characters are allowed to grow up, " explains author Stephenie Meyer. "I loved Anne on Green Gables just because she grew up, got married, had six children, and then saw her kids grow up and get married."
We are curious to see what happens in the second part of the film adaptation and what director Bill Condon intends to do with Edward, Bella and the little vampire baby!
