"I've never heard of a boy laughing and romping, and his lungs are full of water, " says Cassandra. Like Johnny's mother, few people know about the dangers of drowning, including secondary drowning. Especially for children a dangerous venture. As they play in the pool, in the sea, even in the bath, water can accumulate in their lungs. If the water is not noticed, they can drown in it a short time later. Physicians are sure that even 2 ml of fluid per kilogram of body weight are questionable.

Every second counts. If your child behaves differently than usual after bathing or swimming, breathing is difficult or suddenly tired, then call the emergency doctor immediately. Do not try to knock the water out of your lungs. That does not work and is dangerous.
