That's how Jared Piper gets on his way to work. But he does not meet a human, but an animal. Every day he passes a dog chained in a garden and barking at him.
It's like the passengers on the train: you notice them, but do not pay attention to them. One day, however, when Jared looks closer, he notices how neglected the dog is. His body is covered with wounds, the dog is emaciated, distraught he hides under pallets. Nevertheless, the man manages to arouse his confidence. Day after day he brings him treats and gives the dog the attention he deserves.
The fate of the dog goes to Jared's heart. How a person can treat an animal in this way is incomprehensible. Helpless, the male squats in the sun, chained and unnoticed. Jared makes a decision. He wants to take the dog with him. His owner does not seem to appreciate him, so he tries to make contact. After work, the animal-loving man waits at the garden fence, until in fact a woman shows up. She does not seem to care about her dog's condition. After some back and forth, Jared actually manages to take the animal from her, with a last warning that the dog is dangerous, his former owner disappears back into the house. But the freshly baked dog owner can not notice that. On the contrary, dogs are more anxious than aggressive.
Jared brings the neglected dog to a veterinarian, washes and feeds him. He baptizes him Rusty. Although the male probably never got so close to a human being, he lets the treatment pass him by. It seems like Rusty suspects that his life has taken a turn. Although he was chained and neglected for years, he has not lost his trust in people. On the contrary: The male is developing into a friendly pet in need of love. So it is hardly surprising that a new family for Rusty finds quickly.
The animal cruelty has an end. A few weeks ago, the dog spent his life chained to a fence. Now Rusty is playing free in a garden with his new family.
