Without tablets, without injections

Treat pain, tension, swelling without tablets and injections effectively - is that possible? Yes, with adhesive tape on the skin . An amazing therapy has found its way from Japan to Europe. The taping is booming. Because the colorful ribbons have many effects, without any chemicals. So far, physiotherapists, naturopaths and doctors used their healing power. But the experience in the therapy shows meanwhile: You can also tap yourself well, because basically it is quite simple.

What does taping mean?

They are made of sturdy cotton fabric, are stretchy and breathable, coated with a skin-friendly adhesive. You can stay on the skin for up to a week, even while showering or bathing. Usual are 5 cm wide and 5 m long. In good quality costs such a role from about 7 euros (pharmacy, medical or sports shop). The colors do not matter.

How does taping work ?

Protect, support and relieve tapes. That's the most important thing, because that way you can move normally again when you have ailments. And the tapes then exert a healing pull and pressure - they massage the skin, connective tissue and muscles. These gentle permanent stimuli superimpose pain signals. In addition, the gentle pull on the skin facilitates blood circulation and lymph flow: more nutrients get into the tissue, inflammatory substances are flushed out faster. This works especially against muscle, tendon and joint complaints. But even the scarring after injuries can be mitigated with tapes.

Stiff shoulder - joint relieve with taping

Little exercise, a lot of sitting - the shoulders become stiffer, and if you want to lift your arm, it "pinches" or even hurts. This tape gives the shoulder joint more space internally. It has to reach from the neck neck to the middle of the upper arm. For measuring put it on with protective film. Cut the length too. Then cut the tape lengthwise to about 10 cm before one end in the middle. Peel off some foil at this wide end. Extend your arm sideways, raise it by about 45 degrees. Glue the end in the middle of the upper arm. The divided strips stick with light pull past the bony shoulder corner in front and behind.
