Wool tops
The ex-biathlete was not only top athlete. It is also great with the needles - and is therefore in line with the trend. Here Magdalena Neuner shows her favorite models.
Do you hear it rattling somewhere? No wonder. Because Germany's women are hanging on the needle! Yes, we crochet and knit again - alone at home or in a cozy round in cafes and craft clubs . The special feature of the new desire for wool: The fans are getting younger and younger, exchanging on the Internet about techniques, new patterns and trendy wools.
One of them who knows all about it is ex-biathlete and Olympic champion Magdalena Neuner . "When knitting, I can just forget the time, " explains the 27-year-old, who loves to surprise his family and friends with their handmade cuddly pieces. Some of them are presented here now. Mesh sample: 19 sts and 36 rs garter sts with nd. No. 5 and Alpina = 10 x 10 cm.
Back: Cast on 86 (94 - 102) sts in oranges red. For the panel, work 2.5 cm = 9 rows garter st, beginning with 1 back row. Then in red kraus re weiterarb. Completion: Clamp parts according to section, moisten slightly and allow to dry. Close seams. From the neckline, pick up 90 sts with circular needle No. 7 and knit 3 sts, 2 sts in stocking sts. After 4 cm in each 2nd left rib add 2 sts left, after another 4 cm put in the left rib 2 sts on each side. = 72 sts. Now continue in cuff pattern. In 17 cm total height 3 rounds in basic pattern str.
