You need this:

- Schachenmayr Wool 85
- 100 g in pool
- Needle no. 4-5
- 3 buttons, about 2 cm tall
- 1 embroidery needle without tip
- 1 hot water bottle, size approx. 19 cm x 28 cm
And this is how it's done:
Kraus right: Knit each row on the right, knit 1 round on the left st and 1 round on the right st at the same time.
Smooth right: front right M, back left M, in Rd right str.
Braid: See Knitting on page 2. Each Rd is drawn. After the 1st round the 2nd to the 11th round always wdh.
Stitch test: With needles no. 4-5 for smooth right: 20 M and 28 R or Rd = 10 cm x 10 cm.
Manual:
Using a contrast colored auxiliary thread, knit 80 sts = 20 sts per needle, then knit stockinette stitch with Wool 85 in rounds. At a height of 9 cm on the sts of the 1st and 2nd needle, on the right, over the other sts, continue to the right. Make 3 buttonholes in the 3rd round; knit 2 sts left for each buttonhole, work 1 turn and knit 2 sts left.
Divide the buttonholes over the sts of the 1st and 2nd hands (knit left sts) as follows: 7 sts, 1 buttonhole, 7 sts, 1 buttonhole, 7 sts, 1 buttonhole, then the remaining 7 sts, On the next row from the covers, knit 1 st in the right and 1 st in the left sts. After a total of 7 round crumples on the right = about 2 cm, bind off the sts of the 1st and 2nd round, and decap the remaining sts.
Repeat 40 sts on Wool 85 for the undercut and work 7 rows of garter stitches to the right, then work these sts in place of the chained sts and work 1 round in stockinette st. Then over the last 7 sts of the 1st needle and the first 7 sts of the 2nd needle work the plait on the knitting pattern. In the 1st round, as shown, increase 1 st = 42 sts on the 1st and 2nd needle or 82 sts in total. Start at 26 cm height on both sides of the decreases. For the 1st needle and the 3rd needle, work 1 st on the right, then work 1 coat [= 1 st right, 1 st right and the right one
pull off the sts on the second needle and on the 4th needle until 3 sts before the end, then knit 2 sts to the right. Repeat the declines in each round 8 times = 46 sts. On these sts for bottle stopper, work 5 cm as before, then knit tightly on right, knit 2 sts left over the braid on the 1st round = 44 sts. After 5 rounds, bind off the sts on the right side. Fold the cover flat, close the lower seam in a stitch stitch, gradually remove the contrast thread.
Sew the buttons on the underride and fasten the underride on the side edges.
