Strickanleitung Kuscheltier knitting: Wooly sheep to knit

The sheep presents a very special challenge to knit lovers - because it is so soft that you would like to have more than one sheep at a time! So knit it.

You need that

  • each 50 g of wool "Bravo" from Schachenmayr (LL 133 m / 50 g) in ecru (Fb. 8200) and sisal mottled (Fb. 8267)
  • a crochet hook No. 3, 5
  • a pair of safety eyes in black, Ø 12 mm
  • about 60 g of filling cotton

And this is how it's done:

Loop stitch:

Turn the thread over once, insert into the next stitch (M), place the middle finger AND ring finger of the left hand on the thread, pull the thread over the two fingers and pull it through the M and the envelope (U) onto the edge. * Turn the thread over and pull through the remaining 2 loops. Pull the fingers out of the noose. In the last st of the row (R) 1 solid stitch (fM) without loop work (arb).

Crochet loops:

Crochet to * as described in the previous paragraph. Turn the thread over, cut into the next st, pull the two fingers out of the first loop and put them back on the thread, pull the thread over the two fingers and pull through 2 loops on the needle (Nd). Turn over again and pull the thread through the remaining 3 loops.

Manual:

All parts work in spiral circles (see below A).

Head:

1st round (mottled in sisal) 6 sc in a magic ring (see below B) arb.
2nd round Double each dc (= 12 dc).
3rd round Double every 2nd dc (= 18 dc).
4th round Double every 3rd dc (= 24 dc).
5th round Double every 4th dc (= 30 dc).
6th round Double every 5th dc (= 36 dc).
ROUND 7 Twice every 6th dc (= 42 dc).
8th round Double every 7th dc (= 48 dc).
9th + 10th rounds Crochet fM without any increase.
Rd 11. Double every 8th dc (= 54 dc).
12th-20th Crochet fM with no increase.
ROUND 21 Work every 8th and 9th dc together (= 48 dc).
22. Round off every 7th and 8th dc together (= 42 dc).
23. Round off every 6th and 7th dc together (= 36 dc).
24th-30th Crochet dc without declines. The safety eyes between
Fasten the 27th and 28th rounds 7 fm apart. The head
now stuff.
ROUND 31 Trim every 5th and 6th dc together (= 30 dc).
32nd round Combine every 4th and 5th dc together (= 24 dc). Finish the head and stuff. The hole at the top remains open.

Hairpiece:

Crochet completely in a loop stitch. Cast on 5 squares (Lm) in ecru
and close with 1 warp stitch (Km) to the ring.
1. Crochet 12 sts in the ring (= 12 sts).
2nd round Double every st (= 24 sts).
3rd + 4th round Crochet without stitches in the loop stitch, after the last one
Crochet loop of 4th round 1 dc and 1km. Finish the hairpiece.

Ears (crochet 2 times):

1st round (mottled in sisal) 6 sc in a magic ring arb.
2nd round Double each dc (= 12 dc).
3rd + 4th round Crochet fM with no increase.
5th round Double every 2nd dc (= 18 dc).
6th + 7th rounds Crochet fM without any increase.
8th round Combine every 2nd and 3rd sc (= 12 dc).
9th round Combine every 3rd and 4th dc together (= 9 dc). Stop the ear.
Do not stuff but press flat, fold in half and sew together.

Body:

From the 2nd round in the loop stitch arb. Cast on 5 ch in ecru and use
1 km to the ring.
1st round 12 dc in the ring arb.
2nd round Double each dc in a loop stitch (= 24 sts).
3rd round Double every 2 sts (= 36 sts).
4th round Double every 3 sts (= 48 sts).
5th round Double every 4th st (= 60 sts).
6th round Double every 5 sts (= 72 sts).
7-14th Rough 20 chopsticks (tr), work 52 loops.
15. Crochet 3 rounds [4 tr, 2 tr in one piece], 2 tr, 2 loops, knit 2 loops together, 8 x [4 loops, 2 loops
cut off together] (= 60 M).
16. Work 9 tr 2 rounds together, knit 21 x 2 loops together (= 30 sts). Finish and stuff the body.

Legs (4x):

1st round (mottled in sisal) 6 sc in a magic ring arb.
2nd round Double each dc (= 12 dc).
3rd round Double every 2nd dc (= 18 dc).
4th round Double every 3rd dc (= 24 dc).
5.-eighth Crochet fM with no increase. Finish the leg and stuff it tightly.

Complete:

Put the hair piece on the head and sew on the 32nd round. The ears
Sew on the side of the head below the hair piece. The head on the
Sew body opening. The legs so under the body on the "bald"
Position piece so the sheep can stand alone and sew.
